About Us
e-boost was founded by Johannes Fischbach and Dr. Stephan Gillmeier in 2021.
Our passion for bikes started with downhill. The rest is easy to tell: Johannes has been building his own bikes for decades and Stephan worked for Apple in Cupertino for 8 years. So we took the best of both worlds and built e-boost bikes.
And now... after 7 prototypes and thousands of kilometers of test drives, we have created something completely new. Uniquely light, extremely powerful and of course made from only the best materials.
It's basically an iPhone for driving!!
Our headquarters are in Waldkirch (near Freiburg). If you would like to visit us or test an e-boost, you are very welcome.
Johannes Fischbach
Johannes worked in the e-department at Abt and has been building his own bikes for many years. Starting with pure carbon enduros, he has sold and modified more than 400 e-motorcycles (mainly Sur-rons) so far.
Dr. Stephan Gillmeier
Stephan had previously co-founded two other startups. The first was sold to Apple in 2014 and the second to Sinch in 2021. The entire product experience of the last 15 years has been incorporated into e-boost.
